Call for Papers

School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), College of Professional and Continuing Education, at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in collaboration with Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (CSEAR) at The University of St Andrews, is delighted to announce the CSEAR North-Asia Hong Kong Conference 2017 in Hong Kong to be held on 4-5 December 2017.

Local, regional and international scholars are invited to submit an extended abstract of 500 words or a working paper to

csearhk2017@speed-polyu.edu.hk.

Pertinent research areas include but are not limited to:

• Social and Environmental Accounting

• Sustainability Accounting

• Responsible Investment and Financing

• Auditing & Assurance of Sustainability Reports

• Integrated Reporting

• Policy Regulatory and Compliance Issues with ESG

• CSR and Sustainability Reporting in Public Sectors

• Strategy for CSR and Sustainability

• The Role of Social Enterprise

• Tertiary Education for CSR and Sustainability

• Business and Professional Ethics

• Special Session: Social and Environmental Accounting Research in China

(Note: Professor Liyan Wang from Peking University will be the Chair of the special parallel session on Social and Environmental Accounting Research in China. Both English and Chinese submissions are welcomed. For the Chinese submission, the author(s) should include two versions of abstract, one in Chinese and one in English. The accepted author(s) should prepare a 15-minute powerpoint presentation in both Chinese and English. The oral presentation could either be in Mandarin or English.)

Topics related to the North-Asia are in particular encouraged. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to present in the Conference. Authors are encouraged to submit their accepted papers to Social and Environmental Accountability Journal, the official journal of CSEAR, where they will be subject to the usual revision process.
