    加入诺丁汉大学商学院（中国）之前，Juergen在澳大利亚卧龙岗大学攻读博士学位。其毕业论文研究主题为澳航在资本主义后期背景和气候变化下的边际减排成本曲线。

其研究跨越多学科，从经济学的环境效益、环境管理会计、环境政策分析到关键会计理论。在环境管理会计的研究特别集中于边际减排成本曲线作为公司减少二氧化碳排放和降低成本的投资工具。
